A newly born college situated in Rajarhat, West Bengal (WB) has been continuously trying to translate Derozio’s dream of Modern India into reality with the spirit of Renaissance.

The College is located 4 Km away from Baguiati, adjacent to the new-township of Rajarhat on the Rajarhat Road, in the North 24 Parganas District, West Bengal. The college with a 33,000 sft campus area and many honours subjects is continuously striving towards Qualitative improvement of teaching-learning process through mutual co-operation.

As education becoming costlier, it goes beyond the reach of people of the lower income group, The principal says, Our Passion for innovation and utmost endeavour towards the goal of Education for All have helped Derozio Memorial College to fulfill the primary objective of Promotion of Local Community.

The college also wants to value the multi-faceted activities of education and trying to find synchronization between the students and local community by encouraging the Participation of students in different social and cultural programmes in and outside the college.

The college has got some job oriented courses besides its traditional courses and wants to continue to bring modern subjects for the benefits of the students.

The college is interested to introduce a few subjects in near future. Those are Microbiology and Bio-technology. Keeping in mind the rural unemployed youth, the college also plans to introduce vocational education.

The institution would soon develop into Centre of Excellance after the Newtown Project of HIDCO is complete. In near future we intend to establish connection with Corporate houses which would facilitate modern education in our college and make our dream come true.
