South Calcutta Girls’ College, located at the heart of the city Kolkata, has been striving to accomplish its mission, to empower and to educate all women for more than 75 years.
In brief, South Calcutta Girls’ College is a government-aided heritage institution affiliated to the University of Calcutta. It was established in July 1932 at the initiative of renowned educationists, notably late Peary Mohan Chatterjee, to provide opportunity of higher education to the young women of the vicinity.
