Bethune College has been the first exclusive women’s college in India and it was esatblished in the year 1879 as Hindu female school and has been named as Bethune College after the name of John Elliot Drinkwater Bethune, the founding father on 7 May 1849 . The continuous strive towards quality has earned a commandable grade A in NAAC accreditation.
